[Introduction]
Mutant Slayer
Chapter one
This story is about an 18 year old woman called Gen Power she is 5ft 9, she has short, spiky and shiny black hair, and sharp maroon eyes. She is related to one of the ‘experiment humans’ Prof. Xavier saved hundreds of years ago, and therefore has dormant mutant DNA which have yet to be activated…
[Gen Power works for The Mutant Termination organisation, she is a subordinate. Members of the M.T organisation wear a uniform which includes a long navy blue jacket down to their feet lased with an inner suede maroon fabric; men wear dark grey trousers and women wear dark grey long pleated skirts which go down to their feet, with smart black shoes; and when they are fighting mutants they wear red helmets which look like a motor bike helmet, a metal shoulder and neck collar, large red shoulder pads made of thick steel, leather dark navy blue gloves, and strong leather boots. Members of high status for example a Lieutenant or a Captain wear the same uniform except it would be in complete black.]
Every time a solider has returned from their daily slaying of mutants they have their blood tested for any infections. The regulations are so strict that even visitors, and subordinates (those in training to become a professional mutant terminator) have their blood checked. Since Gen is a subordinate she has her blood monitored on a regular basis, and this is how Prof. Xavier found out that she has the perfect blood type and DNA to test and to fuse together with his new mutant DNA.
Gen is told by her Subordinate Officer that “the head of the M.T” (Prof. Xavier) “would like a word with you”, so Gen walks over to Prof. Xavier’s office, which is sealed off from the rest of the M.T building with a steel, ten inch width door. Prof Xavier welcomes her into his office “Gen welcome my dear!”, “I’ve called you here because I want to congratulate you on what an outstanding student you are!” “You truly are a model for the other subordinates to follow!” “You’ve achieved all of your examinations with flying colours, A’s A’s and A’s for everything!” “You know many students who attend have to retake the exams because they’re quite tough you know, but it is clear you’re a natural my dear!” “And for that I must graduate you, you are one of the youngest here to graduate this early you know!” “I’m very proud, very indeed!” Gen is thrilled, and thankful to Prof. Xavier, “thank you Professor Xavier!” “I can’t wait to tell my family!” Gen then settles down in the arm chair facing Prof. Xavier’s desk, to listen to more he has to say. He then tells her, “I’ve also called you here because I need your help Gen.” “You know I’ve been working on a new vaccine called Sterilex, if my calculations are correct it should create the right anti-bodies the moment someone comes into contact with any of the mutant virus variations.” Gen replies, “excellent Professor.” “But I’m not helpful, I’d only get in your way!” “I can’t help with vaccine developments, and saving the world from extinction!” Prof. Xavier becomes serious and responds “Oh of course I understand you’re no top scientist, but you do have type A blood, and the correct DNA.” Gen confusingly responds, “Correct DNA?” Prof. Xavier, “Yes, now Gen I know I might be asking a lot of you but I want you to try this vaccine, you’re the only one with the correct blood And DNA!” “Do you know how gratified I was when I had discovered one of my own students has this perfect combination?!” “You are indeed unique, and only a handful of people in this world are like you.” “If you allow me to examine the way it works with you, I would be able to make improvements, I would be able to make it work for a wider variety of people!”
Gen hesitantly says, “uhh I’m not sure what will happen to me, what if it doesn’t work, I mean I want to help stop the mutant viruses infecting people… but you haven’t given me enough time to clearly think about it, and hardly any info.” Prof. Xavier responds ”Gen please, you would be a scientific triumph.” “I really am in a sticky situation; I mean do you know how many civilians of just Network city alone are getting infected every day?” “There are hardly enough M.T soldiers to deal with the increase of mutants and zombies, if I don’t act fast Network city will be a ghost town!” Gen feeling ashamed of herself replies, “uh okay!” “When do you want me to take the test?” Prof. Xavier now feeling happy says “Well right now of course!” “The mutant virus waits for no one Gen!” “Now just relax in the chair, all that is required of you is to relax in that chair my dear.”
Prof. Xavier then activates the steel hand cuffs and leg cuffs, they snap around her limbs, and then the arm chair she is sitting in tilts backwards at 45 degrees. Gen feels quite worried and confused by this, but she tries to calm herself, and keeps her faith in Prof. Xavier. Prof. Xavier calmly approaches her holding the injection, and grins at her in a mischievous manner. He stabs her right through her neck, blood streams out simultaneously. Gen lets out a shriek of terror, while asking in an angered tone ”what are you doing Professor Xavier, it hurts!” “Professor Xavier!” Gen goes through terrific pains and agony, her body begins to look as if her skin is bubbling like hot wax, her skin gradually fades to a dark blue and black, then she develops scales like a lizard’s. Her fingers and toes morph into claws, her teeth grow into fangs like a great white shark, her eyes expand into deadly, enormous, blood coloured spheres. Gen now looks like similar to a snake or dragon, with three horns poking out from the centre of her forehead. Giant blue, white and crimson feathered wings flap out from her back. As this dramatic mutation takes place she shrieks, and wails with pain until her shrieks grow into the sound of a roaring lion.
However not to Prof. Xavier’s expectations Gen breaks out of the confinements of the steel arm chair cuffs, and attempts to devour Prof. Xavier. Prof Xavier falls from his chair in fright, quickly crawls under his desk and with his trembling, old wrinkled fingers presses his red emergency button. Immediately, the entire M.T building is washed with the sound of piercing siren alarms, Gen hears this and she instinctively jumps and smashes through his glass window, and sky dives 900M down, crashing into several hover cars as she makes her way to the street ground. She realises she now has wings as she can feel the air rush through them, and tries to flap them in hope of trying to fly, however she cannot seem to flap them correctly to make herself fly, and crashes down to the grounds of the streets. Back at the office, Professor Xavier sends instructions to the soldiers now in pursuit for mutant monster Gen not to kill her, but to bring her back to him alive.
During this time Gen finally lands and makes a huge ruckus in the city, as she is in mutant form, and is the size of a house, therefore destroys anything she runs across. Gen’s main objective is to find a hiding place away from busy areas, so that she does not get captured. Gen runs as fast as she can at a top speed of 2,200 Miles per hour, and so the M.T soldiers who have just left the building are having a hard time trying to capture her.
Gen finally makes it just outside of Network city, however the M.T soldiers have caught up to her, due to their energy level detectors which can capture the signal of any living things energy level; [there are differences between the energy given off by animals and the energy given off by different levels of mutants, for example zombies to monsters.] Gen still partially has her human consciousness left, and therefore attempts to tell the soldiers that Prof. Xavier has done this to her, and that they are not to trust him. Unfortunately the force are not keen to listen to the mutant monster Gen has become, as they believe she is just another misfortunate person to have been infected.
The soldier’s energy level detector indicate that Gen has been infected with the virus for too long, therefore has very little chance of being cured, and therefore the soldiers take fire, to try to kill her.
Outsiders from outside Network city have also been summoned to where Gen was, because they too possess an energy level detector. The outsiders were from an independent organisation, called the S.S.O (Sovereign Salvage Organisation) which is similar to M.T but not as well-known, as M.T was commercially more popular.
[Members of the S.S.O wear camouflage green and grey army trousers, thick padded jacket, large black boots capped with metal steel, thick black gloves (when fighting), and a black helmet that has a transparent durable plastic face shield, curving over the entire face. High status members such as captains etc. wear this in black and members with the utmost importance such as a general also wear black but with golden badges with their achievement stars displayed around their left arm.]
Out of nowhere the sound of wind pressure sweeps the battle grounds, it creates an intense wind current, which forces the soldiers of M.T towards the mutant monster Geneva, they all have to grasp onto their army tank vehicles. This immediately captures the attention of every soldier, as they peer above their heads 20 metres above, they spot a human like figure, descending from what appears to be an enormous airship. The figure travels at the speed of sound, and soon it becomes clear to the soldiers that this is nothing more than a simple human.
This human is Lieutenant General of S.S.O Squad ten called Remigio Mercurio. He lands elegantly on both of his feet, and looks like he is taking a bow as he does this. He is now on the grounds of where the mutant monster Geneva stands and the M.T soldiers are. The soldiers of M.T become startled by this and try to shoot at him and the monster, while grounding their bodies by spreading their feet to make sure they don’t lose balance from the wind pressure.
[ Lt. General Mercurio is 28 years old, is 5ft 10, has reddish and brown hair, which looks like the flames of a fire, and large hairy eyebrows.]
The General of M.T Shad Xavier (Prof. Xavier’s son) commands his squad “hold fire!”, he then shouts at Lt. General Mercurio “what do you think you’re doing?!” “Get outta there!” “If you do not remove yourself from this area we will precede the shooting, and we won’t be responsible for your injuries!”
[Shad is 25 years old, is 5ft 9, and has shiny straight and short black hair, and piercing, vigilant red eyes.]
Lt General Mercurio ignores, then sprints up mutant monster Geneva’s leg, and up thrusts himself towards her chest, he easily and quickly stabs the mutant monster Geneva through her chest with his sword, backflips off of her chest and lands gracefully on both feet.
[The sword he uses is special, only the S.S.O uses it and is called Suspension, which contains a special medicine to help suppress further mutation, so that the person can turn back into a human.]
[ Suspension is 6ft tall and 30cm in width, it is made from a tough steel, at the bottom it has a steel protective guard covered in black shiny leather, which looks like a picture’s frame, the handle travels vertical through the guard and looks like a motor cycle handle, which you’re able to rev up to increase vibration frequency of the blade, and the blade looks like an enlarged craft knife with an extremely sharp point.]
However, this does not neutralise the mutant monster Gen, it only aggravates her, and causes her to lose more of her sanity, you can see the fight between human Gen and the monster growing inside of her, Gen is now wailing, and moaning, clutching her head with her gigantic claws. She calmly begins to stop moaning, like her pain is subsiding, and gradually unclutches her claws from her head. Lt. General Mercurio, observes the mutant monster Gen as she does this, as he knows The Suspension can vary in the time it takes to effect the victim, “ah that should be The Suspension taking its effects…”
Abruptly mutant monster Gen breaks out of her calm, motionless state and charges towards Lt. General Mercurio, screeching at the top of her mutated bag pipes! Lt General Mercurio instinctively darts towards Geneva, firmly gripping his Suspension sword. As both meet, it appears as if Lt General Mercurio will be turned to pulp by mutant monster Geneva’s forceful trampling, however he amazingly manages at this instant moment to fall onto his side and slid right through her legs, giving her a nasty slit on her right leg. Dingy, uncongealed blood immediately surges out from this cut, drenching the watching soldiers of M.T from head to toe, yet they all stand in awe at the scene of Lt General Mercurio and the mutant monster Geneva in battle.
The mutant monster Geneva becomes enraged due to the sharp stinging pain of the cut, and let’s out yet another ear defining wale! Before Lt. General Mercurio even has the opportunity to get up from the difficult position his body is in, mutant monster Gen sways her tail at lightning speed up to 270 degrees in angle, then shoots it directly back down like a shot gun, while this happens her tail simultaneously releases one billion nails from itself, they are the shape of crystal diamonds, and they are shot out in every direction like a machine gun which has gone haywire! At this instant threat General Xavier commands his squad, “Retreat!” Everyone of M.T attempts to evacuate the area; they hurriedly get into their tanks and vehicles and speed off into the horizon. However the mutant monster Gen’s diamond bullets reach some of the tanks, the impact of the bullets are so immense that it causes many of the tanks to detonate! As this was happening Lt. General Mercurio’s automatic force field had already inflated around his entire body protecting him from the bullet shower. Lt. General Mercuiro begins to realise after this deadly attack that he is up against a dangerous level of mutant monster.
Lt. General Mercurio surveys the mutant monster Gen’s movements, analysing her distance to see how he can execute his next attack. He suddenly realises how he can attack, and instantly his mind reveals to him what he must do, “The mutant’s back is turned!” “I need to attack it’s muscles to decrease its mobility.” He briskly braces himself by slowly arching his legs, then swiftly leaps upwards landing 30 centimetres above ground level. Lt. General Mercurio, “Good, I’ve got my balance, now I can get this over with…” Abruptly he begins to jog up what seems to be an invisible stair case in the direction of the mutant. He then begins to pick up momentum and starts to run on this invisible stair case, every step he takes looks as if water is rippling around his boots.
[Lt. General Mercurio’s shoes are installed with gravity manipulators which allow him to walk on air; only high ranked members of the S.S.O use this as they have passed the test to use this machine.]
Within seconds he is only a few centimetres from the mutant, he steady’s his Suspension and sprits to the last step before leaping through mid-air, the moment that gravity takes its toile and pulls him down he swings his sword into a downward position to stab the mutants back muscles. He thrusts the Suspension right through its spine, so deeply that half of the sword is swallowed inside of the thick flesh. He then quickly yanks it out as he pushes his feet off its back and back flips as he drops down; he lands gracefully on both legs and his free hand, like he is in a bowing position, ten steps away from where he just was, and one metre from the ground.
This attack was executed so quick that it is not before Lt. General Mercurio is a safe distance away that it realises it is in pain! Blood spews out from its spinal area, and the mutant lets out a head chilling cry! The mutant seems to be in distress as it now has become paralysed due to its muscles in its spine being severely injured.
He nonchalantly raises his sword above his head with both hands squeezing the handle powerfully, as he stands there waiting for the mutant monster Gen to turn around towards him, his sword charges up. It looks like an irradiate heavenly white mist is rising up his sword’s blade, until it reaches the sword’s tip, astoundingly when this happens the entire sword burns blinding white and a salient white beam, shoots skyward into the clouded night sky, it is so bright that people from Network city can see it, and aeroplanes will be put in the white spot light if they were to glide past it!
At this very moment the mutant monster Gen veers towards Lt. General Mercurio and instantly her eyes are drawn to the white beam of light, she then in a fit of rage charges towards Lt. General Mercurio, and while she is in motion, he sways his Suspension at what looks like the speed of light down in front of himself, releasing an incredible shot of intensely, concentrated energy! As the white beam zaps from the sword it looks like the claw of a falcon getting ready to snap on its prey. The energy blast pierces straight through her concrete chest, and continues to travel through to the other side, into the distance of the night’s atmosphere. The monster Gen clasps at the centre of her chest, and more dingy, uncongealed blood spews out from her chest, and sprinkles from between her claws! She lets out a screech of agony.
The Mutant Monster now greatly injured from this battle, starts to lose her balance, her legs tremble due to her large loss of blood, and she collapses to her knees before Lt. General Mercurio. He, feels sorry for this unfortunate person who was transformed into this monster, and therefore does not want to injure it anymore, he now only wants to wait for the Suspension medicine to take its effects and neutralise it. He sheaths his sword back into his back sword holder, and gives a signal to his soldiers in the airship by waving his arms up and down, so they can make their way back down and help put her inside the airship and carry her back to their base.
As the airship floats down to the surface, the increase of wind pressure and noise disturbs mutant monster Gen from almost falling asleep, she becomes vexed and begins to flail her rangy, scaly arms, which are the only limbs she is now able to move, out at Lt. General Mercurio, as she screeches her ear defining wale again! Unprepared for such a sudden attack, he is gashed in his stomach area, and left in a discomforting spasm, 3 yards from where he just was from being propelled by the immense force of her flailing arms. Just as the S.S.O airship was about to land, the ship levitates back up, and begins to open fire, now they are not worried about possibly killing it, all they want to do is stop it from hurting their Lieutenant General Mercurio. The bullets shower the mutant monster Geneva in every direction, some bouncing off of her impenetrable armour skin.
Eventually the mutant monster Gen collapses, like she has suddenly fallen into a deep sleep. Finally it seems that the effects of Suspension have taken its toile on her. One of the soldiers called Simmons commands the squad “Land the airship!” “Find Lieutenant General Mercurio, and tend to his wounds!” “And take the mutant to the airship!” The airship now lands close by to the mutant. Then the soldiers use large titanium anchors to hook into the mutant monster Gen’s thick flesh; these have steel ropes attached to them which the soldiers use to drag the mutant monster body to where they want. Some of the other soldiers drive out from the back of the air ship in small land rovers towards where Lt. General Mercurio lies in pain and is bleeding terribly, then using special machines levitate his body on a board to the vehicle.
In time the soldiers have everybody back on board the airship ready for their departure; they sedately progress to the S.S.O headquarters, through the whiffs of refreshing air. Simmons is now in control of the airship, and soldiers due to Lt General Mercurio’s unfortunate injuries; he strolls into the navigation chamber to find the two pilots, Virgo and Mills who are in deep concentration controlling the control system of the airship. Simmons, “how much longer until we reach our destination?” Virgo compliantly responds, “approximately 30 minutes Mr Simmons.” Simmons, “I just hope our Lieutenant General can hang on for that long…”
Chapter two
All of a sudden, perplexing sirens begin to rise out from the controls, and cardinal washed over the entire rooms, which leaked from the complex buttons and computer screens surrounding them. Simmons feeling discombobulated, “What the heck is going on!?” Mills, “I don’t know, everything seems to be in check.” “The fuel is fine, the engine, the air currents…” Virgo and Mills begin to frantically search on the computers for any type of malfunction, and fix it. Out of nowhere the robotic, steel doors rapidly release a hush of wind as the hydraulics shift, only to reveal a wounded comrade, holding his side to prevent excessive blood loss. He appears to be trying to say something to the three, but with great difficulty, as he can barely stand.
All three have their eyes fixed on their colleague soldier, in complete shock. Simmons only beginning to realising what he is seeing rushes over to him to support him. He roars, “Mike what happened to you!?” “How did this happen?!” Mike speaks in a slur, “It’s the mutant…” “the mutant…” “it’s wounds healed, and…” “it broke out!” Simmons’s face flows with disturbance and responds, “But that’s impossible, Lieutenant General Mercurio punctured that thing with Suspension!” As this is being said Mike no longer is able to hang on, his muscles relax, and the anguish on his face fades. As Simmons holds him he notices this change and yells, “Mike!” Mike, hang on, you can get through this, we’re almost back to base!” Simmons then lugs Mike’s body onto one of the pilot chairs, and commands Virgo and Mills, “You two take care of Mike, and try to fix the ship.” “I’m going to try and find out what’s going on.”
As Simmons rushes out from the controls room, Mike tries to say something to Virgo with the last of his breaths, “It was me, I was the one who set off the alarms.” “I was attacked by the mutant, and so I was just trying to warn everybody.” “You guys might need to land the ship, or we could all be done for…” Virgo tries to calm Mike down, “Mike don’t worry, Simmons is going to fix this, we’re almost back to base, we’re all going to be fine.” Mike hearing this feels relieved and relaxes into the chair with a smile on his face.
Simmons stampedes into the passenger seats compartment of the ship, where he believed he would find his team mates, however only to find the eerie lifeless rooms, “Where is everybody!” Simmons now feeling freaked out hastily swipes out his Suspension, and briskly holds it out in front of him ready to slice anything threatening. He cautiously treads down the pathway between the continuous rows of armchairs, and says, “Is anyone here?” “Hello?” “It’s me Simmons!” “I’m trying to find out what’s going on here!” Just as this is being spoken, he hears a rustle behind him, so he instantly peers around, “Who’s there!” Again he hears a rustle but this time in the opposite direction! He begins to feel terror-stricken, but he conjures up all of his courage and sneaks towards where he heard the source of noise, which was inside a storage room on the left hand side wall. He stands to the side of the door so that he is not directly in front of it, open to any attacks; slowly he pushes the open button on the door, and as he watches the door gradually creeps open, he hears someone else on the other side. Simmons at this moment bounces out from the out of view area, into the door entrance, while grasping his Suspension in an attacking position. He finds one of his team members hunched up in the corner of the storage cupboard, shivering like he was frozen cold; as Simmons approaches him after realising the person was not a threat, he says, “Mick, are you alright?” Mick in shock, head swerves around to face Simmons, his eyes looked like he had just seen a ghost.
Mick, “S-Simmons?” “You’re alive!” Simmons feeling surprised, “Of course I’m alive, why wouldn’t I be?” Simmons finally reaches Mick and puts his bare hands onto his shoulder, “God you’re frozen cold!” “What happened to you?!” Mick, “The mutant it broke out of the cage room!” “We tried to take it down but we weren’t prepared!” “I tried to get my guns from the weapons department but I couldn’t get past the mutant, and so I had no choice but to hide in the meat locker!” “Eventually I was able to make my way to this place to hide, so that I could try to find you, by getting closer to the controls room under cover.” Simmons’s eyes are suddenly drawn to Mick’s stomach; Mick seems to be clutching it. Simmons then pulls Mick’s hands away from this area while asking, “What happened to your stomach?” Mick, “When we were trying to stop it we had nothing but pocket knives, and our fighting, so while I was trying to fend myself while escaping, I got a small gash on the side of my stomach.” “It’s not too bad; all I need is a bandage.”
Simmons instantly shrugs off his jacket, and rips the sleeve off of his black top, he then tightens it around Mick’s wound, and says, “There that should do it!” He then helps him up from his crouching position and says, “Come on we need to work together and find more of our men, and stop that mutant! Mick gives a sharp nod; Simmons then hands Mick a machine gun; Simmons, “Here you’re going to need this if we meet up with the mutant.” Mick, “Thanks.” And after this both march out from the storage room onwards in search of their missing men and the mutant.
As they venture deeper into the air ship’s maze of rooms, they finally arrive at the cafeteria to discover everything destroyed! The steel cabinets are ripped to shreds, however they realise no human could have created such enormous slashes in such a manner; they were completely positive it had to be the work of the escaped mutant. Simmons, “This is certainly the work of that mutant.” “We must be getting close!” Mick, “Yeah.” As Mick is cautiously treading around the rubble and broken pots and pans scattered around the kitchen area he stumbles across a pistol. Mick, “Simmons there might be some things here that might come in handy!” Mick then bends down to select the pistol hidden amongst the rubble and holds it with his thick swarthy gloves, “Look!” Simmons then steps over closer to where Mick is, he then slides off his left glove to feel the gun and says, “It’s still warm, that must mean we’re close by to another one of our men!” “Let’s go and keep looking, we might soon find someone!” Mick, “Let’s look around a bit more, we need all the ammo and weapons we can get.” Simmons, “Good thinking.”
As Simmons is scavenging around the chaos, and swinging open and close all of the demolished cupboards, he soon comes across a crushed steel cupboard, which has been so disfigured the door of it has been almost permanently locked. Simmons nearly decides to neglect searching this cupboard until the corner of his eye captures a crimson substance leaking from the crannies. He then attempts to unhook the door by using his pocket knife as a leaver, however it won’t budge. He then calls Mick, “Mick!” “I need your help to open this cupboard!” “I think there’s something important inside!” Mick then steps to where Simmons is and says, “What do you want me to do?” Simmons, “Use your pocket knife as a leaver to open this door with me.” Simmons then indicates the dripping red liquid, “There’s something strange in this cupboard.” Mick instantly lodges his pocket knife into the cervix, and Simmons follows after him. Simmons, “One, two, three, PULL!” Simultaneously both try to unhook the door.
After the third tug the door explodes open to release a wave of gangly blood, out of fright both spring backwards to avoid being stained in this blood. Simmons, “My God!” As the blood drains out from the chamber, it reveals what appears to be a limbless body. The arms and legs seem have been hacked off, and so you can see the cracked bones of the body peeping out. To both the soldier’s surprise the body twitched. Mick frightened, “I think he’s still alive!” Simmons bravely closes in on who ever this poor person might be, Simmons, “Hang on we’re going to help you get out!” Simmons then crouches down to the right of the cupboard entrance and commands Mick, “Mick give me a hand, we need to move this poor guy!” Mick, “OK!” Mick scoots over down to face the opposite side of Simmons. Simmons, “You try and pull out his bottom half while I shovel the top of him out.” Simmons and Mick then place their hands on the body ready to ease it out. Simmons, “1,2,3—PULL!”
Simultaneously both begin to pull with all their might, Mick huffing and puffing, “Simmons he won’t budge!” “His flesh is merged with the metal!” Simmons, “keep going we’re almost there!” After one last vigorous pull they manage to yank him out. They both gently lay him down on the ground, Simmons, “Mick fetch me some hot water and towels!” Mick, “OK!” Mick then pushes himself up from the ground and rushes around the kitchen and cafeteria in search of towels, and a large bowl to hold the hot water in. Finally Mick brings these back to Simmons, Simmons then takes one of the towels and wets it in the hot water, he then dabs the open wounds of this poor man to clean away the dried blood. As he does this the man twitches slightly because it feels uncomfortable, Simmons then assures this man, “Just hang in there, we’re almost back to base.” He then hands the hot wet towel over to Mick and uses his right hand to search his chest pocket; he brings out a small cylindrical shaped container, with a miniature pipette installed inside. He then swiftly unscrews the lid pipette and sharply squeezes the rubber end to extract as much of the medication out as possible onto the wounds of this injured man.
As the drop of water like liquid drops onto the bloody ripped flesh it looks as if acid is burning through it due to the steam it instantly emits the moment it comes into contact with the flesh. Simmons continues to dip the miniature pipette into the small container, and extract this medication to apply to each area the injured soldier’s limbs were. After he finishes this both Simmons and Mick stay still watching each slashed joint emit a steamy smoke; suddenly these gorgy areas begin to bubble like hot wax, and soon you can visibly see each wounded limb begin to slowly grow out, like they are trying to grow back into limbs! As this happens Simmons gradually brings himself up from his crouching position and says to Mick who is still analysing the progress of growth, “Mick, I’m going on a head, so stay here with this poor man and take care of him!” Mick then suddenly swirls his head up to face Simmons and says, “Shouldn’t I come—you need someone to watch your back!” Simmons, “I’ll be fine, you need to stay here and protect this man!” Mick, “Okay, good luck out there!” And with that Simmons dashes out of the exit ahead.
Simmons hastily and silently creeps down the lengthy corridor while readying his Suspension in front of him for sudden attacks. Everything is silent, so silent he can hear the pounding of his own heart! As he continues to sneak down the corridor it seems as though he can hear the vigorous patter of several stamping steel boots, a thought abruptly zaps in his mind, “That sounds like the other soldiers!” Simmons begins to quicken his steps, approaching this sound faster and faster as he anticipates seeing more of the other soldiers. Eventually Simmons is able to quite vaguely see figures of the other soldiers emerging from the other verge of the long corridor. Simmons’s heart begins to pump even faster as he is excited to see so many of the other soldiers looking healthy and alive.
The dozen of soldiers at the verge of the corridor start to emerge faster, getting closer with every step to Simmons. Simmons begins to wonder why they are running so hurriedly, “Could the mutant have attacked them?!” “If that’s the case I must be close.” Simmons makes a courageous decision to explore the area of the ship where his comrades have clearly evacuated from. Simmons begins to quicken his step into a jog, which then becomes a sprint. Faster than before he soon comes with in two steps of his comrades. Sylvester a good friend of Simmons is at the front of the herd of running soldiers and is the first to instantly realise what Simmons is doing, “Simmons!?” Sylvester instinctively clasps Simmons shoulders to bring him face to face with himself, the other soldiers continue to sprint away, while some of them yell to Sylvester to hurry up. Sylvester, “Simmons the mutant—it’s escaped!” “Don’t go down there—you’ll be done for!” “We’ve got to hurry and catch up with the others!”
Sylvester then attempts to yank Simmons in the opposite direction from his arms, but Simmons snatches them away and tells Sylvester, “Sylvester we need to neutralise that mutant before it kills everyone!” “I’ve got to go to the mutant and do all I can to stop it!” Sylvester, “What do you think we’ve been doing!” “It’s useless, that is no ordinary mutant you’re used to dealing with!” “It’s already killed ten of our men, we’ve got to abandon the ship, and let it go!” “It’s too dangerous to save that mutant!” Suddenly the entire ship jolts like lightning had struck it, the long tubular lights which travels down to the verge of the corridor begins to vigorously flicker on and off! Simmons and Sylvester are sent flying up in the air for a slight second before crashing instantly back down to the ground! Simmons while attempting to pull himself back up from the ground, “what the heck was that!” Sylvester, “it’s the mutant, its coming!” Sylvester again attempts to yank Simmons into the opposite direction, “Simmons let’s get out of here!”
Simmons, “Sylvester I’d rather die trying than die doing nothing!” “You can come and help me or you can run away like the others!” Sylvester then tries to understand Simmons’s reason for wanting to go, and then comes to a conclusion, “Simmons, I’m coming with you!” Simmons now feeling confused, “What?” Sylvester, “I may as well help, it’s better to die trying than to die doing nothing at all right?” Simmons, “Alright then let’s get that mutant!” Sylvester grunts with a brisk nod, and they both shoot off bravely in the direction of the weapons compartment, where the mutant is.
Finally both Simmons and Sylvester make it to the turn of the corridor which leads to the enormous double sided door plated with several layers of steal, which on the other side lay their possible death. Both simultaneously lightly tread down the small area leading to the door then quickly they both snap on both sides of the doors, backs hitting first, and weapons clutched upon their chests ready for them to slash! They instinctively swirl their faces to the side to look at each other, Simmons twitches his head to the door, indicating to Sylvester that they need to break open the door together and charge in.
Without hesitation both men use their strong backs and forcefully bang open each door, they both simultaneously swing out their Suspensions right in front of them, only to realise they were in complete darkness. Sylvester, “Dam I can’t see a thing!” “That mutant must’ve cut out the power in this room!” Simmons, “Wait there’re emergency lights in this room…” “They should be 2 meters down from here to the left!” Simmons then revs up his Suspension from the motor cycle like handle, the blade begins to glow light blue with a mist building up around it; he then holds it out like a guiding light and says, “Okay we should be able to see where we’re going now.” Sylvester from seeing Simmons doing this realises this is a good idea and does the same to his Suspension, “ah good idea.”
Both begin to venture down into the enormous, spacious weapons compartment room, the size of a warehouse! As they’re both walking cautiously down the sides of the sky scrapper high crates containing the weapons inside they come across a tiny opening between these crates leading to the glass box sealing away the emergency switch. Simmons, “Sylvester wait here and keep a watch out for the mutant while I switch on the lights!” Sylvester, “Roger that.” Simmons quickly jogs down to the verge of the narrow pathway leading to the switch, and then swiftly uses his elbow to penetrate the glass; he then yanks down the alarming red switch leaver. Instantly the sky looks as though lights are flicking on from every direction, until the entire room is washed in blinding white light! Simmons then jogs back out from this cervix to meet back up with Sylvester who seems to be standing there like a statue. Simmons attention is first drawn to Sylvester who looks like he has just seen a ghost, “Hey what’s up?” Sylvester’s hand then levitates up while trembling, he points across form himself, “S-Simmons look!” To Simmons surprise he sees blood splattered all over the crates and the gigantic mutant laying still at the centre of the room, bathed in blood which is bubbling hot and steam rising from it. Simmons, “How the heck did this happen?” Simmons begins to paste over closer to the mutant while saying, “Didn’t you say it was unstoppable?” Sylvester now feeling very discombobulated, “It was!” “10 of our men were killed!” “And now it’s just dead for no apparent reason?” “What kind of mutant is this?”
Simmons is now next to the mutant and starts to prod it with his Suspension lightly, “Ah I think I know, Lt. General Mercurio stabbed it with the Suspension, it just took a while for the medication to affect its body, it’s not dead just neutralised.” Sylvester starts to feel relieved and walks over to Simmons while saying, “Why did it take so long for the Suspension to work, I’ve never seen a mutant resist the medication so much!” “It should usually take about a minute to neutralise a mutant.” Simmons, “this is one strange mutant, we need to keep a close eye on this one.” “Any way we should be back to base in 5 minutes, I’ll keep guard of the mutant, and you inform every one of the situation.” Sylvester, “Okay!” Sylvester turns towards the exit and starts running, while Simmons examines the mutant.
Just as Simmons moves his head to watch Sylvester run out of the exit the corner of his eye catches a glimpse of the mutants enormous dark greyish blue scaly eye lid open to reveal its red blood thirsty eyes, he quickly swirls his entire body around to intensely analyse the mutant, however the mutant appears silent and still as it was before. Simmons talks under his breath “must be my imagination…” “It’s neutralised I’m not scared.” Simmons then relaxed starts to walk down the bottom end of the mutant while swinging his Suspension around his wrist, in deep thought. He turns around to begin pasting up in the opposite direction and in the process of doing this it comes to his surprise that there is a huge pool of sticky black blood beneath his boots, and that the mutant is missing.
Simmons whacks his Suspension straight in front of himself and says to himself, “dam I thought it was neutralised, what kind of mutant is this?!” He revs up his Suspension so that it glows bright blue and a mist begins to form around the blade’s edge, he grasps the swords handle firmly and swings it to the side building up the momentum, then quickly swings it forward in a sharp diagonal line releasing an immense wave on blue light energy, it smacks the centre of the sky high crates. A white light line emerges across the centre of crates then it dissolves the top half of the crates instantly slide off the bottom half like a laser had just cleanly cut through it! Leaving the weapons to poor out like a sea wave.
Simmons now losing patients not knowing where the mutant had suddenly vanished to yells, “Where the heck are you!” “Just come out already!” Simmons begins to frantically run up and down the weapons storage compartment looking for the mutant, but as he does this one of the crates from above his head is pushed, it comes crashing down from 3 miles up weighing 10 tonnes! Simmons, “oh no!” Simmons speedily dives forward into a forward roll to just about avoid the crate, as the crate makes contact with the ground the entire room jolts sending Simmons flying up in the air for a slight second. Simmons hurriedly gets back up and instantly leavers his head skyward to look at where the crate had just fallen from, “So the mutant wants to play sneaky!” Simmons begins to climb up the crates to where the mutant is probably hiding behind, he uses his anti-gravity boots to give him a boost which helps him travel there faster, [soldiers can also use the anti-gravity system on their boots for things such as climbing up buildings, but there’re not allowed to walk in mid-air as they’re not qualified to use this.] He makes it up to the top of the crates and sees the mutant below himself holding its open wounds in pain. The mutant suddenly looks at Simmons straight in the eyes with the look of rage and hatred, it then lets out an ear defining roar and uses its steal deathly and long tail to thwack down the stacked layers of crates! Simmons is sent flying through the air and is almost pulverised by these several crates all weighting 10 tonnes, however he uses his Suspension to vaporise any crate that falls near him as he falls down to the ground.
Just before Simmons hits the ground he activates his anti-gravity boots and uses it to run off an invisible stair case; however he is not able to sustain the anti-gravity under his feet and so is only able to jump off of two stairs before landing harshly on his knees and hands. As this happens he hears the voice of Virgo announce “the ship has landed, we’ve safely landed back at base” “can we please have section one of the soldiers assist Simmons with bringing the mutant into the laboratory” this pours from all the speakers around the ship at once. As Simmons hears this he begins to feel relieved, but just as he relaxes the mutant shoots skyward and lands over Simmons, its claws imprisoning him, it looks into Simmons eyes with rage and confusion, the Geneva inside this monster tries to speak, “Why are you doing this to me!” Simmons is startled by this and responds, “We want to help you, please stop resisting and let us do what we must!”
The mutant then leaps off of Simmons while roaring in her half human half monster voice, “Why should I trust you!” Suddenly it swings its entire tail backwards and then hurls it forward aiming for Simmons who it still laying shocked on the ground, it is like a huge steel cable wire weighing 5 tonnes traveling 500 miles per hour! Simmons instinctively guards himself with his Suspension just in the nick of time, the two begin to wrestle, Simmons trying to push off the extremely muscular tail and the mutant pushing the sword back on Simmons! Simmons, “Please just stop I know there’s a person somewhere deep in there!” “We want to help you, we’re going to get you back to normal!” The mutant then removes its tail and leaps backwards again while roaring, “that’s what they all say!” It again sways its tail back with all its might and sends it hurling forwards this time releasing billions of diamond bullets!
Simmons quickly repels every diamond bullet with his Suspension, his sword automatically moving at lightning speed as it zips from left to right, up and down! Simmons, “well if you won’t listen to reason I’ll just make you!” Simmons charges forward at the speed of sound, his anti-gravity boots propelling him faster with every step! The mutant gallops forward in rage and as they both come with in centimetres of each other, the mutant thwacks its head down wards towards Simmons and unhinges open its jaws revealing the ghastly odour of sewage and a set of one billion pearly white spears which were sure to kill. Simmons swishes out his Suspension and guards himself against the ferocious mutant, he then revs up the handle which causes the sword to build up a high concentration on energy, it becomes so intense that he must release this energy before it explodes itself, and so he revs up the sword again to release it.
The energy released looks like a concentrated blue beam of light shooting skyward, this energy flashes for just an instant, the mutant unhinges its deadly jaws from his sword, and flails its head sideways while shrieking, blood at that moment squirts out from its gums. Simmons, “Please I don’t want to hurt you, I just want to help you.” “Please calm down, my comrades are on their way and they’re going to take you to our laboratory where you’ll be changed back to normal.” “do you understand what I’m saying?” The mutant responds, “then why are you all trying to hurt me?” Simmons, “we were only trying to neutralise you so that we can bring you to our lab, not kill you; but if you calm down we won’t need to neutralise you.” The mutant responds, “who said I wanted your help!” The mutant then bursts forward at high speed, using its burgundy, blue and white feathered wings to fly forward, knocking Simmons flat down onto the stone hard ground. Simmons is now face flat on the ground, drenched in his own blood. He tries to muster up all the strength he has left, to try and grab hold of his sword which was scattered a few centimetres away from where he lay.
The mutant swerves around creating a huge flurry of wind as the elegant wings swings through the air to face Simmons, it then readies itself to charge forward again. Simmons begins to feel helpless as he struggles to take hold of his sword, “C’mon this can’t be it, I can’t die here!” “I told my comrades that I had to stop this mutant, and this is all I could do?” “Everyone’s counting on me, I have to stop it!” Suddenly Simmons conjures up every little last piece of energy he has left and clasps a hold of his sword, he then rises up from the puddle of his own blood, and takes his positions to fight. Simmons, “I’m not letting you get away that easily!” The mutant lets out a raging roar and charges forwards to Simmons.
Simmons revs up his Suspension to charge up his energy blast, and just as Simmons and the mutant are with in centimetres of one another, the mutant is stopped dead in its tracks. Simmons instantly wonders “What the?” Suddenly a fountain of blood spews out from behind and the mutant lets out an agony of cries, it starts to vigorously sway its body from left to right while shrieking, and as it does this Simmons realises that someone is on top of its back trying to hold on and not get flung off. All of a sudden this person lets go as the mutant tries to sway the person off, he is sent flying straight towards the crates! The moment his feet make contact with the crates surface, he instantly begins to sprint sideways on the crates, he then propels one foot off the wall of crates and back flips in mid-air before gracefully landing besides Simmons.
Simmons in shock slowly rotates around to face who this person was. Simmons, “Lieutenant General Mercurio?” Lt. General Mercurio, “So this is what happens when I leave you in charge?” Simmons, “Lt. General I’m glad to see that you’re feeling better.” “but this is no ordinary mutant; the Suspension medicine isn’t working on it!” Lt. General, “Yes, so it seems, but I have a plan…” “wait here and watch.” Lt. General Mercuiro sprints towards the walls of the crates, when his feet make contact with the walls he begins to dash diagonally up the crate walls! He readies his Suspension and revs it twice to release the special medication he plans on injecting into the mutant. Simmons realises this as he examines what he is doing, “Lt. General, two shots of the medicine could be lethal!” Lt. General Mercurio ignores these words and carries on dashing, he finally reaches the last section of wall that he can run on and pushes his foot off, leaving him soaring through mid-air!
The mutant is still stunned by the wound it received on its back by Lt. General Mercurio, and so this leaves it open for his attack! Lt. General Mercuiro firmly holds his Suspension’s point downwards to face the head of the moaning mutant; gravity soon takes its toile and he begins to travel at sonic speed towards the mutants head. It is not long before the tip of the blade is seeping through the forehead of the mutant, blood easing between the blade and ridged skin! In time the mutant gradually calms down and stops moaning in agony. Its deadly blood soaked eyes dissolve into black endless voids, and its face relaxes into a more peaceful appearance.
The mutants body collapses, and as it is in motion doing this, Lt. General Mercurio removes his sword from its forehead and pushes himself off the mutant with the heels of his boots, and backflips in the air, landing with a bow. The mutant smacks the ground as it lands creating a tremendous quake. Simmons stands still like a statue, feeling shocked at how easily the mutant was stopped by his Lt. General. Lt. General Mercurio nonchalantly walks past Simmons and says, “Thanks, because of you distracting the mutant I was able to stop it.” Simmons, “Lt. General did you kill the mutant?” Lt. General, “don’t worry, I only neutralised it, it seems it needed to be stabbed twice for the medicine to work, so this must be a very unique mutant.” Lt. General Mercurio raises his hands and places his two fingers on each temple, a pair of small circles of burgundy lights emerge on each temple, they begin to pulse smaller, then larger and so on. As he is doing this odd action, section one of his squad floods in through the doors.
