Around
And around
I’ve gone
Far too long
Spinning
Clinching
Grabbing at straws
Reaching out
For much needed help
All that I’m given
All that I’m lent
Are stones
Weights
Not of my own creation
Or of my own obligation
I’m so dizzy
Nausea lives
Deep in my gut
I’m sick
All of the time
Every second
Of every minute
Of every hour
Of each concluding day
There is no escape
None that I know
Not one to be shown
I’m right here
Screaming at the world
The one outside
As well as inside
Please stop moving
Remain still
Motionless
Allow me peace
Allow me to cease
Whatever that will mean
I’ll gladly accept
Without fear or regret
Being so sick is terrible
Living this way is hell
Existing as I am
Was not meant to be
There has to be
Another way
Around
And around
Madness of motion
Like floating in an ocean
In the middle of a storm
That comes along once
Every few hundred years
Such a constant ill
Has left me unwilling
To see the shore beyond
The falling waves
I have no sense of direction
Nothing with regard to perspective
There are no markers
No indication
Of which way is up
And which is down
There is just climbing
And falling
Just tossing
And turning
My stomach is empty
My heart is the same
I’m so damn sick
That nothing makes sense
All logic is truly wasted
All ideas are quickly vacated
Emptied from being so sick
Honestly I can’t take it
But for far too long I have
There is no choice
None that I can tell
Against the motion I swim
Amongst a torrents of waves
I have forever been sent…
