I watch the ribbons of light overhead ... Day 17 (Form: English Sonnet) |
Messages I watch the ribbons of light overhead with eyes that strain to view the mystery that whispered to the ancients, now long dead, as they peered into vast infinity. There sits Polaris, once our faithful guide, whose never ending brilliance showed the way; The Zodiac still dances, filled with pride; the future and the past in its display. Their subtle influence when we are born, though long dismissed, still tempts the primal mind with promises to both guide and to warn in secret writings glimpsed, that gods designed. Though far away, they're closer than they seem. These flashing sparks reveal our hidden dream.
