2 Haiku and Other Splashes of Color

The following poetry is written by my 11 year old granddaughter, Summertime.


1.
                   rain in the village

                   garden no longer thirsty

                   rainbow shines above



2.
                   fluttering about

                   celebration of nature

                   at work each season



3.
          "At the Creek"

         at the creek
         wanting to peek
         from their hiding spots

         music is heard all around
         listening to colorful sounds
         joining in on the fun

         clapping their wings
         while they sing
         my sweet songs

         playing my flute
         stomping my boots
         as magic dust is sprinkled

         fun is what we seek
         merrily playing
         at the creek
