A twisted treat about you and I. Poet and reader, friend and enemy! |
-Make Me Your Enemy- by Keaton Foster Hate The hand That whips The man Punish The sin That lives Within Take it in Make it yours I won’t care How could I Make me Your enemy Be repulsed Disgusted Ask why Not of me But of yourself See the pain Know the shame Read the lines Find what I hide Take it from me It’s yours If you wish And if you don’t To you It will still belong In your head Behind your eyes Until you’re dead It will remain You won’t escape What it means You won’t find peace Until peace Is all that you have Make me Your enemy Hate The man That forced you Under the guise Of poetic lines To search And thus find What we Yes you and me Are truly capable of I won’t ever lie But I’ll be dammed If I won’t tell Of an exacting truth All of it Every once What you ask What you don’t Leaving nothing out Life A livable feast Of both time And circumstance I’ve had it bad Far worse than most Make me Your enemy If that’s what it takes I’ll understand I’ll appreciate the fact But your hate Not an ounce of it Will detract From what I do From what is required Read the lines Peer deeper inside See the truth Not a single lie Know what we People Are truly capable of Oh does it hurt Let my pain Be yours Hate The hand That whips The man Punish The sin That lives Within Take it in Make it yours Just as it is mine Hidden Between each line Make me Your enemy I won’t mind It won’t matter How could it Why should it… Make Me Your Enemy Written by Keaton Foster Copyright © 2014. |
