A special poem about what I consider a gift, that has cost me everything. But that's ok. |
-I’m Aware- by Keaton Foster There Where I don’t know But I’ll show You can refuse See Or be blind I care not I’m selfish This is Has always been About preservation Mine These words Deity’s unto themselves Immortal diatribe Written by Live by A mortal animal Oh how I’ve paid Lost it all Time and again Love for me Impossible Happiness Always in a state shambles I destroy everything good Because of everything bad It’s just my way My twisted inner darkness I can fake with the saints But inside I’m all sinner All truth and madness I’m not proud But be assured With absolute clarity I’m aware I know why My defined role There can be And will be Nothing less To know thyself To understand And embrace To face every demon Standing up to darkness For me is in the cards I may lose the war But I fight each battle With my heart My mind And my soul I’m aware At times I’d say it’s not fair That the father Has truly doomed me But to tell you the truth I know those are lies Perpetrated by me alone God, in a weird way Has come to save me To redeem me Through my words And my ability to know What other won’t I’m aware At the price of everything And As long as these worlds flow As long as I can express What most won’t Then I’ll be content Paying what is meant… I’m Aware Written by Keaton Foster Copyright © 2014. |
