At some point in your life, you can relate to this. A tale of loss the feeling alone.
In the roaring winds, I stand alone.
This is the cold place my friend now calls home.
The dirt, freshly shoveled, looks new,
and the grass smells of morning dew.
On days like this, we used to run,
but here, they don't allow fun.
The laughter, once shared between us two,
has now been replaced with silence.
The screams of joy once shared between us two,
ended with this lonely place.
I cry for days long past,
but tears aren't worth a damn!
This bottle in my hand can't help
and glass ain't worth a damn!
The tears and drink and voices are just to much to bear!
The ghost of memory haunt me the longer I stay here!
I have to leave 'fore I go insane!
But here is where you are, so here is where I'll stay.
