A special poem for those who have faith in God and for those who don't. |
-Great Is The God- by Keaton Foster Great is the God Whose hands are tied Mired are the minds Of those themselves confined To them there will be no escape With God’s feet to the flames They scream of their lack of faith And their need for something Significantly more tangible Than the ideological ramblings Of men that lived ages ago God will not meet their needs He will not give them the satisfaction Great is the God Who will not bless them And the infantile way In which they have decided to act Increasingly wicked are those minds The ones who refuse set him free The ones who needs more To become one of his sheep One of his justifiable few God deserves an escape He needs to be uncaged All of human salvation Depends upon his need Unknowingly The wicked and the divine Share such a thing combined Great is the God Who has always known But has done nothing to stop Those who plotted against He is like the hangman Handing you the noose Saying with a crooked smile Only use what you need Freewill is God’s greatest gift And I fear at times Our ultimate curse God alone will always be The one to say, so be it The sword wielded by man Cuts both ways Deep to the bone Outward he will be thrown Always landing upon his feet Never below those who intend To do him the greatest harm Great is the God Who has been here before He knows what to do While of course we do not He’ll apply just enough pressure Just enough certainty veiled To those who struggle to believe He’ll let them know just as he Wipes them from this world He won’t start over He’ll just remove the stains Cleaning this place up for those Who believe in him Through faith alone… Great Is The God Written by Keaton Foster Copyright © 2014. |
