Opus

The time has come to state clearly what has been made known. This is what I believe:

In the Beginning, God made all things good. Men were made perfect, full, and righteous. But men fell from God by choice. They listened to His Enemy and rejected the God who made them. God called out to Abraham and his, trying to raise up a nation who might turn back to Him and through whom He could one day save all Men. But even they were unfaithful. For centuries, God called back to them through various mouthpieces, disasters, and judges. But we would not listen.

There was suffering and despair, for Man was not as he should be and he knew this in his heart. But in the darkness, a promise was made. A whisper of hope in the shadows. A Messiah would come. He would set free the captives and open the eyes of the blind and the ears of the deaf. He would free all of God's people from the chains of His great Enemy.

And finally, with all of Creation holding its breath, the Time came. God came to earth, fully God and fully man, in the Person of Jesus Christ of Nazareth to do what He had promised. But even then, His own would not listen, not accept Him in the way He meant to free them; most did not want to turn back. But even then, He allowed himself to die. All sin requires blood. He shed His Own to rescue His Beloved from her Fate. The End of the Beginning. The Beginning of the End. The Cross turned history's page. But Death has no hold; Satan has no power over He Who sits at God's Right Hand.

In three days, He fulfilled the sign of Jonah and Rose from the Grave as the Victor. The Conqueror. The Mighty Lover and the Coming King.

He is the Gate and the Door. He is the Slain Lamb and the Warrior King. He was First and He will be Last. He is the One Way, the One Truth, the One Life. He is the Victorious One. All is under His feet and at the end of all things, all will confess this true. In the end, even Death shall die and all who accept Him on His terms as His Own will live forever with Him in the New Jerusalem.

"To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be praise and honor and glory and power for ever and ever!"  --Revelation 6:13 b

Amen. Let it be so.

I write this because my God is my Master and Friend and Beloved. He has created me to be uniquely myself and nothing else, and I am slowly becoming the woman that He has seen me as all along. I want to be his Magnum Opus, His masterpiece. With a Potter like this, how could I be anything less?
