two teens discover a mysterious body on halloween night. |
Violet stood there in shock. “IT HAS TO BE A TRICK!” she shouted. Tate stared at the body with a blank expression on his face. “It’s Halloween, of course it’s a trick!” said Tate, in a bland tone. Violet pushed him towards the body. Tate stumbled towards it, almost falling as he approached it. “Check and see if it’s breathing!” Violet suggested. “Are you crazy? I’m not touching that thing!” Tate shouted. “Get a stick and poke it!” Violet said playfully. Tate glared at her. “Violet, seriously.” He said. “If you won’t check, then I guess I will!” she said in a fierce tone. Violet inched towards the body; her breathing became heavier as she came closer. She leaned down, and reached her arm out slowly as her hand crept onto the lifeless arm. She paused for a few seconds; she felt all color drain from her. “I don’t think this is a trick Tate.” Violet stuttered, almost tipping over onto the body in shock. “WHAT, NO WAY! LET ME CHECK!” Tate said in an amused tone. Tate leaned in, almost knocking Violet down. “WATCH IT, ASSHOLE!” Violet shouted. “Oops.” Tate said playfully. Tate placed his hand on the bodies’ neck, waiting for a rhythm. He waited, and still felt nothing. “WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON!?” Shouted Tate. They both stumbled backwards away from the bodies’ presence. They glared at each other, noticing the fear and discoloration on each other’s faces. “What should we do?” Tate said. “HOW THE HELL AM I SUPPOSED TO KNOW!” Violet screamed. “Should we run?” he suggested. “No! What if the cops find it and think we did this!” Violet said. “Should we call the police?” said Tate. “What if they don’t take us seriously? I mean it is Halloween.” Violet said with a sarcastic tone. |
