A time long ago, I was just a boy,
Playing, and laughing with friends.
Down a stream, was a boat- and I'd yell ship's ahoy,
I believe I was just turning ten.
My mother would call me, and I'd feel so let down,
I just wanted to stay out, and play.
I'd run in the house, and give her a frown
My own son, did the same thing today.
Now I am older, and I build with these hands,
Instead of a hammer, a pen.
I always try to write, the best that I can,
And I just want to publish a gem.
My day it will come, and I know it's a dream,
Walt Disney felt just like I do.
No matter his doubts, and how hard it seemed,
He rose up, and is one of the few.
Believe in yourself, and carry on well,
Write with you're heart everyday.
Just keep keeping on, cause you never can tell,
They might just enjoy, what you say.
