Wendy and I met at church. The church congregation consisted of single young adults. Wendy and I were both activity group leaders. Each Monday evening the members would meet at the church for an activity. Wendy has always been very competitive. At the time this occurred Wendy and I were not dating and I didn’t know her very well.
This particular Monday the activity was a silly winter olympics. One of the events was that we were told to place our coats, socks, shoes etc. in a line and the team that made the longest line the fastest with their clothes would be the winner.
The judge yelled out: On your marks, get set, Go! As the leader of Wendy’s group she said to her team: Okay, let’s just take off all our clothes and go for it.
My friend Devon without missing a beat responded: You first Wendy.
It took nearly twenty seconds for poor Wendy to figure out why everyone was staring at her and laughing. She went red in the face and started laughing herself. Then she said. I can’t belive you all, we’re in a church! Thinking like that?!?
