Just a random poem, post break up
I wish I had more sweet words.

That I could write another love letter addressed to you,

That I could fill it with sweet dreams and hopeful futures;

I wish I could believe in them.

How I wish that love would be enough

To shelter us from this storm, that in its calm embrace

We could recover the naive innocence which abandoned us so fast.

I cannot help but love you

Purely, Deeply,

Insistent and devoted,

Forgiving and accepting,

Blind and foolish.

My love for you has been the foundation

On which I built my life,

It has been both purpose and excuse

Ecstasy and despair,

Ugly truth and beautiful lie.

Ah my love,

My scarlet rose,

My fallen angel,

Through this broken love seeps reason

It's cold logic driving frivolous fantasy from mind.

How I wish to desperately clutch at fleeting fancy

To once more close eyes

And ignore its constant press.

But eyes forced shut

have been pried open

And the things I have seen

Can no longer be ignored

Goodbye My little bird,

My shattered crystal princess

You will always be the day dream

Of which I loved so well.
