The Man In The Woods

A 17 year old boy name james and his two friends named Erik and Matt were having a bon fire one warm summer night in 2003. They had planned to invite their friends from school over to have somewhat of a small party. They started the fire before any of their friends had arrived and they knew they would need many more logs and branches to last them throughout the night in order to keep the fire ablaze. They were in James's backyard, which was very big. His house sat on 21 acres of land with a dense wooded area about an acre behind his house. The three boys grabbed a wheelbarrow and journied off into the woods to collect their fire wood. It was just after dark. As they were looking for dry, dead wood they found themselves moving further and further into the woods. After moving into the woods for about 10 minutes they decided to make their way back. However, as they turned to go back they saw something strange. A man sitting on a tree stump in a black suit and tie. The boys approached him asking him who he was and what he was doing there. The man did not respond. They began to feel scared and very creeped out by this strange man. Suddenly they heard a branch snapping behind them from a passing deer. It startled the three boys and they quickly turned around to see what caused the noise. When they turned back, the man was gone. Completely terrified, the young men panicked dropping all of the wood and ran straight for James's house. As they reached the wood line, once again they saw the man standing there, as if he had been waiting for them. He began to walk towards them and they ran the other way. They ran as fast as they could and as far as they could until they came to a road on the other side of the woods. They saw an incoming car driving down the road and they waved it down, the car stopped and the window rolled down. The three young mens jaws dropped when they saw who was driving. It was him, the man in the suit. Meanwhile back at James's house, people from school began to arrive and they quickly grew curious as to where the boys were. They searched the house, the yard, then they decided to search the woods. They found the wheelbarrow and knew something wasn't right. The kids called the police and explained the story. The police explained to the kids that their story sounded very familiar, because on that very night 47 years ago, a man in a black suit and tie went missing in the same forest. As the police searched for the man... they found him hanging from a tree. He had killed himself because he was bullied by a group of teenagers, much like the ones who were having a bonfire tonight. A missing person report was filed and a search team searched the area. However the three boys were never seen again. Its said that the ghost of the man who committed suicide 47 years earlier waited anxiously as his spirit lurked the woods waiting for teenagers to exact revenge and make them pay for what they made him do. To this day it all remains a mystery.
