Answer to my wife's question, "do I still love her."
My wife was quite ill for over a year and passed away in September 2013. One day she asked me if I still loved her. It reached so deep into my heart that I sat on the computer and wrote this answer and read it to her. I made this a Christmas card to her wherever she is.

Hi Mom, Merry Christmas
I remember when you asked me if I still really loved you. That day you told me you knew that you were going to die soon and that broke my heart in so many ways. How do I answer your question? Now I ask myself how to begin to share with you the feelings that are deep in my heart. You have inspired in me a love so deep that words cannot describe it, so powerful that it overwhelms my every thought. I wish there was a way you could see into my sole and see the depth of passion, tenderness and love that holds you closer to my heart than anyone or anything else. At that moment I looked into the magic of your eyes and I promise that I love you now and I always will, TODAY, TOMORROW AND BEYOND. I’m sorry mom that I cannot truly express what these tearful eyes and lonely heart truly feels. You asked me if I still loved you, yes my love more than words can ever say. After all the years I still remember so clearly the very first time I met you and somehow knew you would be mine. The early days of our marriage we had so many special times we would sit together, just the two of us and dream of our future. Our needs may have been simple and our surrounding modest but our love made those moments together ones I’ll never forget. We’ve come a long way since then. We have known success and we weathered some serious storms, but after all these years, the thing that still matters most is that we are still together and that even death cannot separate us and that I still have you beside me.
All My Love Always
