When it mattered you were there,
Whispering encouragement in my ear,
Ready to catch me when I fell,
Watching my back without fear.

I never doubted for a moment,
That we were meant for one another,
Our hearts and souls entwined,
That we would be together forever.

Suddenly you were gone,
You disappeared without a trace,
You left me shivering in the cold,
My soul adrift in time and space.

When it mattered you were there,
Now I search for you everywhere.
