A strange poem about another sea that resides deep inside my endless mind.

The dream
Another sea
So far from me
On the other side
Of the known world
There
To that distant place
Upon those vacant shores
In present shape and form
I will never come to stand
I will never truly be
Deeper into my mind
Beyond the confusion
Way past the madness
Out beyond rationale
Far past the ether
It is always there
As big as can be
As deep as everything believed
Vividly I am able to see it
Pseudo-semantically I can feel it
Another sea
There are many creatures
But not one
Is grounded in this reality
They are all made up
Amalgamations of ideas
And lived experiences
Many can dive quite deep
And other must remain
Impossibly close to the surface
Some are predators
But many more are prey
No chance is meant
Nor is it to be given
Fate via my mind’s eye
As always is in control
There is no sun
There is no perilous sky
There are only endless waves
Mountains of white and blue
Rising up and crashing down
Another sea
The dream
Again and again it comes
Each time it is sharper
Each time more detail flows
Someday I may come to know
What such a dream does mean
But then again maybe I won’t
Either way I’m fine
Within the deepest fringes
Of my ever evolving mind
I’m and not afraid
Nor will I ever be
I can create all that I wish
And in the same breath
I’m sure that I could destroy it
Of course I won’t
The dream
Another sea
So far from me
On the other side
Of the known world
Yet to be exposed
In its entirety
To anyone but me…
