A series of thoughts and random ideas that have spawned in my mind.
[Introduction]
I am often baffled at the idea that there are so many people in this world that I encounter and come into contact every day that seem to be in a state of unawareness. It would seem to me that there are a certain few levels of awareness that is becoming increasingly less popular to attain. In addition to continually ranting on about the latest celebrity or gossip that is posted in the tabloids, there is a staggering amount of nonsense that is being passed around as though it were filled with potential creative energy when in fact it is just mindless banter. As I work in the field of production, I am in a consistent engagement with what has become the norm in social constructs and communication. Relentless talk about who did what and what the latest sporting event results are. Even more confusing is the idea that the sporting even in question has resulted in a victory or defeat that involves any and all onlookers that happen to be viewing the event at the time. They say, "we won!" Or "we lost..." Even better the saying, "Was all that money worth the spending for a particular athlete?" As though it was that person that had engaged in writing the contract. There are many things that don't make sense to me about the construction and execution of society. So much that I could go on like this for some time. Though I will take an alternative route this time and talk about the things I have noticed here and there. Things that I have noticed on a day to day basis that I really don't think make any sense at all. And perhaps how I would change things or adapt them to make a socially acceptable and logically workable society. This may be a multiple part entry. However, this is my first entry out of many that are sure to follow. Being unaware of how to title this, I have gone with the generic title of "my imagination". I was unsure on what to write as well. So just the fact that I have started to write is a big accomplishment for me. So I have to say that this is more of a testing the waters sort of thing rather than an actual piece that I would actually write. Knowing that I can actually sit down and write something is of great value. However, I am still unsure of how to get an idea from my mind and put it onto paper the way it is in my mind. So if anyone has read this far, it would help greatly if anyone would share any knowledge on this subject as I am what is to be known as a "newbie". I am going to give it a shot and write a short story here in a minute. I hope it turns out well. Thank you for anyone that has taken the time to read this to this point. I understand that this was more of a ramble than anything else. Just knowing that I can do this is all the motivation in the world. So, thanks for reading this. There are more and better things than this to come I am sure of that. =)
