The wars of yesterday

The wars of yesterday did not start yesterday
As I speak it started everyday even today
The mind is a mysterious place its like every drum
That beats finds its way there
I say the war started in our minds
Words waring against each other as they
Fight the wars that cloud our thoughts
The war started in our hearts
When we thought that they where wrong
And we where right
It started when we thought we found love
Only to see it was pain
Like a knife they had caught deep
And then we started to fight
Proclaiming that they where all the same
Same lying tongues that spit fire that burns
The soul
But we continued to fight forgeting the
Wars will make us older
Forgeting there is a new era
And that happiness will come if only we let it
The wars of yesterday should not remain its food not good
For the soul
