A New World

(EDIT: I'd like to take a moment here and thank everyone who has rated and reviewed. The comments have all been extremely appreciated. The number one thing everyone is asking is to see the image. Allow me to explain this assignment. I was taking a writing course and the professor loved doing streaming consciousness exercises (just write whatever you're thinking.) We were shown a number of slides and told to write down a few words that came to mind. Next, we were told to look at our paper and circle the words that really stood out to us. Finally, we were told to write a piece including those words. So this piece really came from a number of images, none of which I have a copy of to scan and post on here. Sorry. But thanks for the feedback!!!)

A New World

The pillars of the Earth
and the pillars of Destruction.
Open the Windows to the Universe.

He begins his descent,
through the Portals of the Void.

Throwing caution to the wind,
He follows a wisp
where the dark shadow trees
stand as silent sentinels
over the dreary dead lake.

A silver light moon casts a Ray of Hope.
A fiery rainbow burns bright,
crashing into the dark waters.

He follows these signs to a new world.
An empty world.
A world he can make his own.

He opens new ways,
new opportunities,
with each to explore.
