a poem about a relationship
Part one
The Question

He sat with a stare
What did he care
When she glanced it was broken
Should he have spoken

She walked away
Should he just stay
He followed
She turned and he swallowed

He had to ask
What a task
He said one date
She said great

He had no style
But still she smilled
He turned and ran
She laughed, what a man

Part two
The date

Tonight was the date
He was late
At last he was there
He hadnt known what to wear

She said hi
He was still shy
They went to eat
With food wasnt neat

She was fair
The kind that is rare
The date was done
His only one

He took her to her house
In a voice like a mouse
He asked to give her a kiss
Hoping he wouldnt miss

She nodded her head
Her face was red
There lips brush
What a rush

Part three
The night

They started dating
Tonight there would be no more waiting
They sat in his place
There hearts race

Tonight they would be one
Others there were none
What to do, they didnt have a clue
But soon they were through

He said I love you
She said she knew
He asked if she felt the same of us
She said yes

Part four
The new question

After a year
Where he was, she was near
He took her on a walk
Just around the block

He kept her stare
He parted her hair
She was a beauty
To take care of her was his duty

He slowed his pace
He found the right place
He bent down to propose
He held her hands close

He took a knee
He said would you marry me
His heart raced in his chest
She said yes

Part five
another love

They were married at last
The time passed
One day he woke up feeling strange
He knew somthing had changed

She saw him staring
She asked if he felt like sharing
What should he say
What would be the right way

So he cleared his throat
And asked without missing a note
She said yes
With a child they were bless

Eight months later
The day was all the grester
If he could choose any day it would be this one
in his arms he held a son

Part six
The new date

Eighteen years later
Their son was a real dater
One day he came in
He had a grin

He said she was somthing rare
We told him dont you dare
He pulled out the ring and showed us
He would ask her tonight, his mother made a fuss

That night we waited
Waiting we hated
At last the phone rang
The words his voice sang

She said yes
He said he was bless
He was happy, he said
and so they were wed

Part seven
The end

Still together after fifty years
Had come there worst fears
He held her close
As she doze

If she would wake, he didnt know
The sickness was starting to show
He couldnt loose his wife
she was his life

She awoke
And she spoke
She said she was scared
And all he could do was stare

He looked at her and said
Ill be coming right behind you, but you have to lead
He asked will you wait for me there
She said yes with a tear

The next day there son stopped by
When he walked in he couldnt help but to cry
He called his wife and held close the phone
His mother hadnt gone alone
