A special poem close to my heart about me and my power to express myself through time. |
-About Me- by Keaton Foster Skin Flesh Hatred Obsessed What if Just how I live What I see A car accident of belief Are there any survivors The verdict out The casualty list unseen Cutting through the wreckage Sorting out dismemberments At this rate its gonna take forever Such a case of forever Should be printed on a t-shirt To be worn inside out Boundless and inept God has many regrets Perfection it seems Is woefully flawed One hand Never really knows What any other is doing In the deepest darkness So many of us reside Devoid of any light We cannot see with clarity Refusal is our holy right Our way against the grain Acceptance means less Lemmings are such fools Ready to jump at a moment’s notice We are nobody’s fools Words with us are paramount Building blocks Piled just right Allowing us To get to a height That we alone Are comfortable with I know nothing of myself But you Out there Stranger declared Know everything About me You understand While so many others don’t You comprehend more Than ever thought possible Each line has become an epitaph Poetries carved deep into stone Long after I’m peacefully dead Long after everything is said My trumpeting voice will ring out What was once so absurd Will be as clear as any sun In any endless sky… About Me Written by Keaton Foster Copyright © 2013 |
