Chapter one of my first grimdark fanfic. Period. |
It was a normal day in Ponyville. The sun was shining bright. Fluttershy was tending to her animals, Rainbow Dash was doing her stunts, Applejack was applebucking with her little sister, Applebloom, and Twilight Sparkle was studying with Spike. Everyone knew what Rarity was doing. She was working on her latest showcase, which was fit for an Allicorn. (It was actually meant to be worn by Princess Celestia.) Only Celestia could possibly know what Pinkie Pie was doing. It was always the oddest thing with her. Hopefully, she was just setting up a party. Everyone thought she was, as earlier, a new pony appeared. The pony was known as Cephyron. His cutie mark was that of a skull. His wings were graceful, yet powerful. He always carries a sword with him. Nobody, not even he, knew of his origins. He was covered with wounds, scars from years past, but some still ooze blood every now and then. It almost never phased this pony. Only he knew his past. Of why the scars were there. Of why his cutie-mark was a skull. It was sad. When he was younger, he climbed up a tree. He fell and snapped his neck. He was so resistant to Death that he became Immortal. It came at quite the price. And another benefit. Death slashed him with her scythe during the bout. This is what made him immortal, and Death knew of this. But what she didn't know is that she channeled some of her power into Cephyron during the slashing. It made him rather...psychotic. It gave him powers as well. Powers NO pony should EVER have especially one such as him. He learned to control his psychosis. His neck was fixed. Although, his wounds were incurable. They were to never quit bleeding. He had to ask Unicorns to cast pain-numbing spells on him, in order for him to carry on a slightly normal life. Eventually, he forgot his past. Three days after, he arrived in Ponyville. The ponies found him just outside of town, bleeding and unconscious with a strange white glow surounding him. They took him into the hospital. He lost the glow in two hours. And awoke the next day. |
