Lizzie was looking outside the coffee shop wondering how can she get a coffee and a sandwich because she didn't have any money. When people would come out the shop Lizzie would ask if they could buy her some breakfast and coffee. People would look at Lizzie like she was Crazy and just looked the other way. It has been 5 months since Lizzie's mother died of a drug overdose and left her homeless nowhere to go. Lizzie is trying to get money to go to Florida to be with her dad he left her and her mom when she was 5 yrs old. Lizzie's been wondering all her life about why her dad left the family. right after when he left t is when her mom turned to drugs and alcohol. Lizzie wanted answers because she was tired of going to foster homes. Lizzie hated that she was alone and didn't have a family. Lizzie was getting ready to walk away from the cafe when a women asked her if she wanted a cup of coffee. Lizzie asked her what her name was she told her her name was Marie. Marie asked Lizzie if she need anything Lizzie told her she needed money to buy a plane ticket to go to Florida.
