What does it mean to be "perfect"?
“Perfect!”

I hear this every day.
Sometimes about how hair looks
About a friend
About a personality
About a project
About a relationship
About a plan.
But what does that mean?
To you?
To me?
To a stranger on the street?

Does it mean “good”?
Or “flawless”?
Or “great”?

That could be argued.
But then how do you define “good”?
Or “flawless”?
Or “great”?

To a farmer, “perfection”
Might be a good crop season.
To a dancer, “perfection”
Might be another competition
Without falling.
To a child, “perfection”
Might be Halloween,
When they eat a lot of candy.

If “perfection” is a different
Situation to
Every person,
What does “perfection” mean about a person?
To be tall?
Or skinny?
Curvy?
Athletic?
Musically inclined?
Blonde?
Doe eyed?

If “perfection" is defined
Differently to
Every person...

Then why do we all strive
For this

Inconceivable,

Unobtainable

Term

Of

“Perfect”?
