A Trijan Refrain poem about a young woman's dream.
The day is done. The room is calm.
The girl has gone to bed.
Fresh cut flowers have sent their balm
Of sweetness gently spread.
Her dreams begin with visions bright
Of demons flying round a light.
Her dreams begin
Her dreams begin
What will they be? What is her plight?

The day is done. The room is calm.
The young girl wants to leave
This moment of uneasy qualm
Of a danger she did perceive.
Her heart beats fast as danger nears
And something magnifies her fears.
Her heart beats fast
Her heart beats fast
Visions of peril perseveres.

The day is done. The room is calm.
The demons want her soul.
They sing aloud death’s chilling psalm
Of an essence they could control.
Then angels come to fight a war.
The young girl fears her dreams no more.
Then angels come
Then angels come
To conquer evil that we abhor.
