Modern society's craft of the laugh.
Jokes.
Comments that provoke
A smile
A laugh
A positive reaction.

During childhood, everything
was funny.
Hell everything was
F-uh-k-ing
Hill-air-e-us.

Now in our
Teenage years,
Our joking is dirty.
Fuck jokes all around.
Childhood roots, fading.

Jokes about gays,
Disabilities,
Disease,
Mental disorders,
Sui-freakin’-cide.

Have we degraded so?
Many have died
Self-inflicted deaths.
Maybe the quiet kid in class
Is pondering the effects of KCN.

So what if he sleeps with him?
He seems normal to me.
Just ‘cause a book of falsities,
And just that book, forbids it
Doesn’t mean it doesn’t happen.

Jokes,
It all started
When we could kinda think
Before we speak.
Do we have that ability now?
