A picture of the love God had for us
It is finished

It is finished at the cross
the sun has hid its face
The Father gave the best He had
to save the human race.
-
The earth is moved it feels the pain
the veil is rent in twain
While Mary weeps the soldiers watch
but Christ endures the pain.
-
A borrowed tomb the Sabboth past
then dawns another day
The empty grave the tears of joy
come see the place He lay.
-
It is finished at the cross
but it will always be
A picture of the greatest love
the world will ever see.
