“Can’t breathe, too much water!” a feeling of dread.
The world was damp and it was raining heavily, tall grass surrounded me, engulfed me.
I struggled like never before, always making my way towards what I hoped would be shelter; shelter from the wetness that was suffocating me. Hiding inside my house would be pointless; it would become a deathtrap within minutes.
Suddenly, I moved out of the tall grass and found myself on unoccupied, flat terrain. I could breathe again! The rain, I felt, was lessening.
“Not home free yet!” and so I kept on going. Up ahead, I remembered, was a place protected in times like these. Almost there!
But above me, I sensed a darkening shadow and I knew, that what ever made it, would bring my death… For after all, I am but a small snail in a big, cruel world made by men wearing boots.
