A New Friend

I hoped and hoped for a dream out of sight,
And now I will reach for it with all of my might,
Just when I thought my chances were slim,
I can see that the light is no longer dim,
I don’t want to get ahead or rush the gun,
But I may have found someone who is tons of fun,
Someone who can make me smile from day to day,
Someone who will be special in every way,
I look forward to seeing her so much more than most,
So far I’m so happy to the world I will toast,
With her I can tell my unhappiness had died,
Because when I look at her my smile can’t hide,
I feel so childish like I’m going to explode inside,
Its almost as if she has re- inspired my pride,
Its crazy the part that fate always plays,
Because she is different is no many ways,
I can tell with her I want this to last a while,
And I want the chance to always be there to make her smile,
I want to be there to give support for whatever she goes through,
I owe it all to my two wonderful friends for showing me someone new,
My feelings are erupting and can get me so far,
I feel she is special, she’s like my own shooting star.
