an angel falling from heaven
Her once white, feathery wings, now black as night, from the poison of the mushroom.
The smooth tan shell, now a gray soulless color, as the poison continued to drain away the pure light, that kept her an angel of God’s children.

Her once sky blues eyes, now the color of black, like a dark void waiting to suck the life out of the living.
She turned to her lover, who now displayed an evil smirk, his raven –silk like black hair, flowing around him, his aura full of Lucifer’s presence.

“Why?” She asked, her heart breaking into pieces, as the poison continued to course through her body, her skin turning dull as the poison took hold of her.

“Because.” Gabriel said. “I can finally have what I want. Power!” And with that he turned, his wings stretching as wide they could, flapping as he took off, leaving her there, as if she meant nothing to him at all.
As if she were just a mere human, like a pure soul that had to be eliminated to get what he wanted from her.

Slowly, she walked to her bed cloud. Laying down on the soft puffs, the white cloud now turning black, dissolving as she fell. Falling from the heavens to the mortal world, her wings stripping of her feathers, till only five were left. She hoped that she would maybe find love in the human world. Better love than the heavens, hoping their Father knew of Gabriel’s betrayal to him.
Closing her eyes, she let the last of her light leave her, as she only knew love.
The love of their Father that had always kept her safe from the evil of Lucifer and his followers, to not fall for the temptation of his warriors.
