if you love someone they never really leave you, just look to the sky and the sea
The cold wrapped around her in an icy, cruel embrace. Patricia didn't know how long she sat on that snow covered swing, shaking like a delicate autumn leaf in the grips of a long winter. The wintry winds embrace mocked Patricia, constantly reminding her that her precious Ciaran was there, with the wind and rain, and she was stuck down here all alone.
Sometimes, she could feel his soft heart beating pulsing in time with the sun's golden rays, and hear him laugh when it snowed. but in the winds that come and go, she only heard the sound of tyres screeching and metal grinding and glass exploding.
"Damn you," Patricia whispered to the malicious, icy wind, tears fell down her face, they where whipped off of her face as the wind picked up, which in turn, raised the level of the crash in which Patricia lost her first love. "D'you hear me, Ciaran, DAMN YOU!" she shouted, head tilted heavenwards, sobbing into empty air,
Suddenly, snowflakes the size of tear drops fell down from the pearly grey clouds. In next to no time, the pain of the crash disappeared and in its place was the sound of Ciaran's laughter, deep and rhythmic and just plain joyful. Minutes later, the snow became thicker. But something happened, an anomaly of sorts. The snow fell in an odd way, it fell as though on some invisible person, the snow made the shape of tall, wiry teenage boy. Patricia knew instantly who it was, though there were no facial features.
"C-Ciaran?" Patricia managed to choke out. A voice replied but didn't come from the man-shape, instead a warm all around her
"I've never left you, no matter what," Ciaran's voice sighed
"I miss you so much," sobbed the poor broken hearted girl
"I know but I have always been here, I am the Air, I am the Rain and I am the Snow, I am still hear but I cannot be reached the way I could when my physical being was still welcomed on this Earth," the voice sounded so sad and wistful, Patricia stood up, in ankle deep snow and picked a handful with her bare, red hands. The man-shape shuddered slightly and the wind grew warmer and softer, "I love you," it whispered, ruffling Patricia's hair and caressing her face. In a moment's thought, Patricia decided to join her love in a way that could never be undone. She lay down. The wind started to pick up in a protest but Patricia said to words that stopped that all
"Keep snowing."

That's how her parents found her, blue lipped and no breath, but with a smile on her face that said she didn't suffer. Her mother knelt down next to her, stirring up a cloud of dusty snow, and as that happened, she heard two laughing voices and a female voice saying "Goodbye."
