Snow

the heavy white blanket falls to the ground
covering all that lay around
cold and wet, it makes a mess
every year I like it less
when I was a child, in it I'd lay
as I grow older, I wish it'd go away
it's not as fun as it used to be
for when it falls I start to freeze
