A special poem based off the 4th horseman of the apocalypse and relating to my life.

-Behold The Pale Horse-

Revelations 6:8

In a voice like thunder
I dared not to wonder
As it spoke with clarity
Shelling out my density
The causality of such lechery
I am gonna pay a terrible price
I deserve what’s coming next
Behold the pale horse
Its rider, named death
Hell is following close behind
There is no time
To make impossible things right
I am gonna die
Slain by my shameful ways
Taken from this place
Removed, leaving no stain
God above has sent his messenger
He will not be ignored
I must listen to all that is said
The sum of every related equation
Is far less than zero
There can be nothing more for me
I often call God’s word in question
I often challenge the ideas expressed
The reasons for why we are here
And what we are supposed to do
Have always stood like impossible mountains
But now that God’s words
Have become abundantly real
I dare not question a thing
Obedience deeply mired in proximity
My belief is far too late
My faith, only a by product
Of my impending doom
Behold the pale horse
With him comes the end
The rider, a shapeless character
With no heart, with no soul
He cannot be bought
His mind cannot be changed
He is committed more than any of us
Most of all a man like me
What God above has on him
Is a secret very well kept
It is far more than judgment
It is far more than circumstance
It is something far beyond
The rider’s very soul
Behold the pale horse
Its rider, named Death
Hell is following close behind
There is no time
To make impossible things right
I am gonna die
I am gonna pay
With my livable life
And my unredeemable soul…
