SWEETEST LAMB OF GOD

Worthy is the Lamb, sent by His own shepherd,
to a fallen world; made by His own hands,
Worthy is the Lamb, of grace and innocence,
His purity a fragrance that never ever fades,
He's the Ancient of Days, Sweetest Lamb of God.

And His sweetness is the promise,
Still fragrant as always,
It rests within broken hearts,
It's the reason why He came.
Worthy is The Lamb of God, The Sweetest Lamb of God.

He took upon himself, my agony and shame,
He hung His head for me, while He bled in pain,
When He lifted up His eyes and called the name;
"Abba", "Why have you forsaken me?", It was meant to be.
For worthy is the Lamb, the Sweetest Lamb of God.

Sweetest Lamb of God; How could I come to you,
with all these things that killed you;
yet all these things you knew,
Before I even asked you, before the dawn of time,
You were the Bread and Wine, The Sweetest Lamb of God,
The Sweetest Lamb of God.

So how could I refuse this this?; All you offer me?
While with nail-scarred hands you hold it;
In your pleading eyes I see; only purest love;
And tender mercy, The gift born on the tree; Offered up freely;
By the Lamb of God; The Sweetest Lamb of God;

And to all those whom He foreknew,
He calls out to their spirit; with brokenness and sorrow;
Hoping that only they hear it. If they could only see;
This man who already knew; All the things I did;
And all the things I was; And all the things I lost;
And yet he paid my cost; The Sweetest Lamb of God.

Precious is the Lamb of God; And worthy is the Lamb of God;
I owe all of my life and breath to The Sweetest Lamb of God.
