A children's stories pub asked for this but didn't use it.
When Old Man Crow goes a-walking
he pulls on his feathered cloak
he steps into his hob-nailed boots
and sets off with a hearty croak

All the wriggling creatures
caper and jolly along
while Old Man Crow entertains them
with his silly raucous song

When Old Man Crow goes a-walking
cold winds rake the naked trees
his raspy song is echoed
by the scraping of fallen leaves

The sky may seem to darken
though it might be just mid-day
for when Old Man Crow goes a-walking
he prefers the sky that way

So if you are out a-walking
and Old Man Crow you meet
you may just a-wonder
why he chooses to use his feet

And why the sky has darkened
and about the wriggling crowd
as well you should wonder, my curious friend
just do not wonder a-loud
