An epic poem of weirdness about me and my view of the world all around me. |
-Faces Melting- by Keaton Foster The other day While I was on my way Where, who cares Why, who knows I was just going I was just doing Walking in a world that I am Increasingly uncomfortable with Blurry people came into focus I stopped and I waited I looked all around Observing every possible detail All that I could see Was something unbelieved Something that would take All of my imaginable strength Not to run and flee from Something that I alone Was certainly meant to see Because I know that if anyone else Within the slightest proximity Was seeing what I was seeing Then they would have been screaming At first I said nothing At first I did not move I simply refused The longer I stared The more I began to fear I was so unsure It was all so unclear The people within a scream All looked somehow horrific Frightening metamorphic Piles of walking flesh Theirs faces Every damn one of them Melting Falling off their bones Exposing their souls It was as if I was looking into Terrifying movable pits Of obliterated darkness It was if I was seeing something That no other being was capable of There I stood and watched I just marveled at the madness Both theirs and certainly mine Observation has always been a gift I can see things that others don’t I can take pictures with my mind Detailed to the enth degree Pictures that regardless of time I can pull back up and draw from Pictures that a lifetime later Still clutter the rafters of my mind I often refer to it as my very own Rolodex of photophasmatic ideas Morphable images of change Pliable concepts taken from everyday life Made into something I can deal with Made into something I can express But I must admit that what Was seen the other day By me and my over indulged mind Was beyond all that I am comfortable with What could be meant by faces melting Such a question will require an answer Because such a vision meant something More powerful than can be At this time determined by me… Faces Melting Written by Keaton Foster Copyright © 2013 |
