The following is a short encounter between a hungry worm and a delicious looking apple.

"Apple, why are you so green?"

"Because worm, you look awful lean."

"Apple, surely you jest?
I am a noble worm, and will only have the best.
Do you then, claim that honor?"

"If I did, I would be a goner.
Alas worm, I am but a common green.
Fit only, for the cleaning of your latrine."

"Apple, upon this, we agree.
You surely lack the proper pedigree.
Thus are you spared this day.
Go forth I must, to find a savory red to slay."

"Thank you, O’ noble one.
You shine as brightly as the sun."

"Do not thank me so.
My friend yet follows me, and he was born quite low."
