A little boy who just wants his dad for Christmas.
It was my first Christmas without my dad. Snow was falling from the sky as if heaven was dropping little parts of the clouds down to us. I begged mother to let me go outside and play. All she said was no over and over again. “But mom I want to build a snowman and make snow angles!” I said so fast; she barley even understood what I was saying. “NO!” My mother shouted. “I need you to get the glasses out of the cabinet, put ice in them and set them on the table with the plates and silverware while I get the ham out of the oven for dinner.” We finally sat down and ate. I could put the food in my mouth fast enough so I could get outside to go play in the snow. “Done!!” I shouted. “I don’t think so Lucas. Sit back down; you have to wait for everyone to finish its Christmas Eve. Were all going to sit down and have a family meal. Its not like an elf is going to come and pick of all the snow and take it to the North Pole. You’ll be fine for a little longer.” I swear it took my family a lifetime to eat. They took little bird bites ever twenty minutes. Finally after hours and hours of waiting I was able to go outside and as I walked outside I noticed a gigantic snowman but what was behind it was the best Christmas present ever, my dad. I was speechless; I ran up to my dad and jumped in his arms with little raindrops coming from my cloudy eyes.
