A dark poem about living a life not meant to be.

No dawn
No day
No light
No way
Completely lost
All alone
In the dark
Nothing is home
The God of my life
The weight of these words
Burdening my soul
What I’ve done
Adds to the load
To the depths I’ve gone
Into madness
I since remain
No escape
No change
No other way
My life
Such a terrible shame
Somewhere ridiculous
The world’s smallest
Violin is playing my song
Probably out of tune
I could have been more
Instead of nothing
I could have done it all
Instead I’ve done less
So many regrets
All that I am is heck
A wanting display of obliteration
Without an ounce of consideration
Those who love me are fools
Those who love me are doomed
They will struggle to understand
As I know all too well
That what must be done
Has already begun
In the dark
I live
In the dark
I will die
Like an unborn child
In the womb of a corpse
Death has always been
Meant to come first
Some of us like me
Are born to their doom
Some of us like me
Are meant not to be
A hell of a dream
A hell of a reality
Spending each second
Alone in my skin and bones
Knowing that each breath
Goes against all that is
Each and every thought
Is a moot point
Insignificance bleeds through
There will be no escape
In the dark
I will always remain
I was born into such a place
I will die in the same…
