A soft love story.. |
In the slow, steady evening, holding onto meaning is hard when you're still around.. We talked all night, the time seems just right to take you to the shore at sundown.. I see the corner of your lips, almost form a kiss, but a kiss would just mean goodbye.. I'm holding back for now, you'll probably come around, I want to kiss you till morning, I won't lie.. --------------------------------------------------------------- This game is so unusual, the one that we play, from morning till midnight, all through the day.. I still can't explain, this is so insane, but maybe this is love in a different sort of way.. -------------------------------------------------------------- Were walking down some street, no one left to meet, thinking a thousand moves ahead.. There's an edge in the air, it's laid all feelings bare and the feelings are better left unsaid.. We end up at my door, no silly games anymore the key to your heart goes clockwise it seems.. We hear the coming click, the end of my magic trick and now its time we walked into our dreams.. --------------------------------------------------------------- This game is so unusual, the one that we play, from morning till midnight, all through the day.. I still cant explain, this is so insane, but maybe this is love in a different sort of way.. --------------------------------------------------------------- There are buttons on the floor, they weren't there before and some whiskey half-drunk by the bed.. The sheets are all but torn, the curtains are all drawn, we could smile but we need to breathe instead.. I look at where we've been, through the velvet of sudden sin and i know that we've reached a higher place.. Tomorrow might not come, and yet we still succumbed, this moment was our time in grace.. ----------------------------------------------------------------- This game is so unusual, the one that we play, from morning till midnight, all through the day.. I still can't explain, this is so insane, but maybe this is love in a different sort of way.. |
