A weird poem about placing all that hurts me down below. |
-Get You Low- by Keaton Foster Get you low Beyond control Beyond your ways Out of your comfort zone In a place where you belong In a place that you deserve to go Out of that wolf Out of that skin stained red Such stains won’t wash away Such scars won’t fade The injuries you inflicted To both yourself and I Should leave you feeling ashamed And if not, then for your soul I have a mountain of pity Even through you deserve none Dig a grave Twice as deep Down to the depths Dig until your hands bleed Dig until you can’t see light Dig forever if that is what it takes Those of us who know you Will have no issue with waiting Patience is the master of our circumstance Once you are there Once the depth is clear Once you are quite sure That you cannot go any further Place yourself inside Head first Death will not be required You and I both know that Ending of your life Will change nothing This is about putting you In a place where you Can never hurt another Where you can be contained Where you can fester within your shame Only then will those of us that remain Be safe from your embrace Get you low Then you will know What it is like to have the whole world On top of your head Then you will understand What it means to be the victim Of your very own hands Dig a grave Twice as deep Down to the depths Dig until your hands bleed Dig until you can’t see light Dig forever if that is what it takes Those of us that are your victims Will wait… Get You Low Written by Keaton Foster Copyright © 2012. |
