Shoulder something
Play along with the game
Dare not be one to complain
Take the medicine deep inside
Allow all sickness and doubt
To rise to the surface of who you are
Once there, expel it out into the world
Fear nothing for those in close proximity
They will not become infected
They will not become like you
They are immune to you toxicity
They serve a higher power
A deeper meaning of life
With blinders they see what you
Cannot not see with eyes open wide
Beyond terra-firma they stand
As you settle down into the dust
Of all that you have previously destroyed
Your goal, your true destination
Is to become more like them
To do such a hypocritical deed you must
Shoulder something beyond all weight
Carry a load that you are sure is unbearable
Only then will you become more like them
Only they will you know what it feels like
To be above all that makes you human
Put your faith, your will to believe
Into something that cannot be proven
Something that cannot be judged
Only then will you have the strength
To overcome what it means to be you
Only then will you be able
To hold any weight applied
Only then will you be able to rise up
Out of the dust of your past
To a higher plane of existence…
