what I see as I look out on the day.........
Have you seen the glistening morning dew?
On long green grass and the spider web too?
How the sun caresses each blade and strand
Like precious gems in a jeweler’s band?

The colors that burst from the late evening sky
More amazing than paintings you’d ever buy
The richness of the tints and deepness of hues
Standing in awe of the canvas unveiled to you

The stallion that gallops at a furious pace
Through the soft green meadow with style and grace
Moving effortlessly like a dancer on air
Poetry in motion, with long flowing hair

The buds with sweet scent and flowers that bloom
In a shapely glass vase, always brighten a room
Or the candle that highlights a fine work of art
A beautiful combination of all of its parts

These things just described, have a beauty of their own
Each one stands out for reasons well known
But none can compare to the woman I see
Always in my mind’s eye, waiting for me
