A very strange poem about self exploration and who we are and what we are looking for.

To the depths
Where madness is kept
Where forever sleeps
Deeper still
Way beyond
All that he is comfortable with
One man’s submarine
Is another’s death trap
A metal container
Capable of withstanding
Pressures unimaginable
Exploration of inner demons
Reciprocation
Over all that he has done
As far apart as they seem
Closer and closer they bleed
Upon crushing depths
They let out a unified scream
Let me find peace
A sense of ease
The world above
The world below
One eternal prison of keeping
Locked away in a pseudo cage
All men, both above and below
Are animals kept within skin
Exploration is only happening
Out of a desperate need
Not to know
But to be sure
Without any doubt
Is all that we will stand for
Arrogant fools
We need not know the rules
To play such a dangerous game
We make them up as we go along
Because we feel we are kings
Gods of our skin
Image is everything
Even if what we see is fake
One Man’s submarine
Is another’s death trap
A metal container
Capable of withstanding
Pressures unimaginable
Capable of holding back
The terrible world outside
As well as the one inside
Death will come for us all
But until then some will push
While others will pull
Some will dive to the depths
While others rise to the surface
All in the name of what we must know
All in the name of answers we require
Belief is not as easy as it seems
The show we put on is just a ploy
We will continue until we are sure
Confidence within doubts equilibrium
Is all that will be required for us

Such fools…
