-The Right To Bleed-

Pooling at my feet
The right to bleed
Pressure to my point
Is quickly fading away
Draining from my shape
Leaving me changed.

Near death I seem
Most alive I scream
I have never felt so free
No longer am I afraid
Strong within the end
Fear concerns me least of all.

What will come next has
Always seemed unimportant
When and if you ever reach
This place that I was
Always meant to be
You will certainly see.

You will know that the need
To be certain about what
Is beyond the next rise and fall
Quickly fades into oblivion
You will understand that life
The one you are set to leave
Is a pseudo scheme.

The right to bleed
Is not inherent of just me
I am certain that it belongs to everyone
Most of all those who dare believe
That there is nothing to living
Except the chemical reactions
Of our toxic beings.

We are meat machines
Set into motion
Long before our devotion
Or should I say lack thereof
We are carcasses in waiting
Dust in the making.

We are sacks of liquid
Always in vary states of decay
Porous sacks extruding
What we are confident is right
Even at the price of all
That is without a doubt wrong.

Easily I held the blade
Cutting to the bone
Such an act requires
Absolute commitment
Hesitation would only further
Delay that which is the intent
Of the very escape offered.

The right to bleed
Towards life or ending at death
Are one and the same
God will understand
And if he refuses
How could people like us
Be concerned with his needs.

We live on a one way street
The beginning and the end
And the same destination
The journey between is where
And when we are alive.

Everything else is secondary
Side effects of breathing
Which based upon the flow
Or the lack thereof
I would say that my right to bleed
Is about to be fully agreed…
