'Meh Suya' (Local barbecue guy)

Meh suya



Coming home from a particularly tedious workday with more than the usual serving of challenges....one thought was pervasive - it was a pleasant one too.

I was maybe a few yards from my pre-home destination when I noticed a bloke 'venting' by the side drainage. He wore a hooded top and I wondered at that (it was probably over 35 degrees)....but hey, this was the legendary 'Mushin'...I guess western, vestiary norms didn't quite kick it in these parts.

Aahh, yes ....my pleasure merchant was lock-stock-barrel ready for me - Meh Suya extraordinaire!

He had an especially rich stock in beef this night....and the air was redolent with the aroma of tasty barbecue that drew with near palpable strings.

So I stopped by his stand as planned. There were a few other 'puppets' ahead of me so I had to wait my turn and....

....then came the 'hooded man' venting earlier. He turned out to be one o' them 'area boys' that were mostly quite feared in the neighborhood (I recognized him now from the Meh Suya's camp light), so I tarried a bit...

The 'hooded man' next picked up a slice of beef I was bent on having and examined as if to critique an art work...but wait, he was the same bloke 'peeing' at the corner just now...

...Aww shucks!

..Will go for the next best slice and..... bam! he picks that one up too, now with both (manhood handling) hands....

....more than enough for one night, I told the Meh Suya - ma buddy - I would be back, and left.

A little chagrined, I traversed the few extra yards to my home....

......The next time you visit the local Meh Suya, you might wanna consider the possibility that the tasty barbecue has been, quite literally, 'manhandled' by all and sundry....and you really don't  wanna know where them hands have been.
