My miserable mishap
Taking all sorts of risks was I do,
Card games, board games, everything I knew;
Spending fortunes overnight, no care at all,
My heart is the only thing I didn't gamble.

Playing it safe, everything I fall,
Did not want to get hurt like before;
The more I build my wall,
The more I actually gamble.

Then I finally let down my guard,
Letting someone in is always do hard;
Tried too hard to make everything alright,
But it was like the dark of night.

Had plans, hoped it was ours,
Wished on all of the falling stars;
But just like before, I gambled too much,
Now all alone with only a deck of cards.
