You opened your arms for me,

And into them I walked,

You offered a friendship,

That I thought would last,



You said words so full of charm,

And I believed them all,

You made me feel alive inside,

Now I feel like something has left,



You would always be there for me,

Just another lie you spoke,

You would go with the flow,

Now it’s my tears that run,



You left without saying goodbye,

I still wonder what I did wrong,

You muttered the words sorry,

That doesn’t mean anything now,



You walk past me in the street,

I try to get you attention,

You’ll smile and be polite,

Do you remember how things were?



You gave me the attention I carved,

I knew things weren’t right,

So why do I still want you around?
