Selling Starlight

Look up at the sky,
take it all into mind.
A million miles away.
Unreachable some would say.
How many kisses fostered?
How many embraces fathered?
Could you put a price on a twinkle?
Something so beautiful yet so simple.
The meaning of life pondered.
Intellects need not wander.
A source of light  is not all,
Navigation from the hull.
Sailors back in port.
Lovers are able to court.
Fireworks that never move,
still their radiance consumes you.
